Hunters come from all over the United States to hunt in Cheyenne County. The wily ringneck pheasant was introduced into Kansas in 1906 and Cheyenne County's habitat has proven to be a near perfect environment for this game bird, with hunters finding some of the best pheasant hunting in western Kansas.

City Park - St. Francis

Located behind the county courthouse, the park offers playground equipment, basketball courts, covered picnic table, restrooms, and shelters.

Sawhill Park - St. Francis

The park features an acoustically unique band shell that is used by area residents for public performances.

Roadside Park - St. Francis

Free Campgrounds. Nestled amid tress, this park is located just south of Highway 36 in St. Francis, and is a welcome retreat for the weary traveler. The campground feature hot showers, indoor restrooms, picnic tables, grills, covered shelters and disposal facilities.
